It’s more common for places like bookstores (e.g., Borders), coffee shops, or places like Panera to have wireless internet available if you have a laptop with you. Some of these have free access. Many public libraries have computer facilities though and there are some businesses that have computers where you can buy time. The prices are much higher than most places here in Europe.
