Are Jarno and Heikki good choices as both team mates and for a new team?
I think they are very good choices for a new team, probably the strongest driver pairing outside of the serious teams. With Trulli, they will find the ultimate pace of the car quickly (if Trulli can’t be fast over one lap, it means that the car is a dog). With Kovalainen they will get a good team player who has up to date experience of a top team, and can probably help Lotus as much away from the track as he can on it. How they get on as teammates will depend on how things go during the season – if the team is running around at the back then I think they will get on just fine, but if things become more serious then they might have problems – Trulli doesn’t let people get one over on him, as Sutil found out at the end of 2009. I think both of them will expect to be the fastest, and if one driver is a lot slower then it will lead to problems. I’d expect Trulli to be the favoured driver within the team if things start to turn sour, no matter who is actually quicker.
