Are Leggett & Platt adjustable beds covered by Medicare or medical insurance?
Hello, Hospital beds are designed to provide users with maximum support and comfort. All hospital beds are different. All hospital beds on the market are standard size. I recently bought a bed like this from a careoutlet.
• In some cases the purchase may be covered by Medicare or Insurance. The purchaser will need to file the claim with Medicare or their insurance company under the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) code: DME # E0295: Hospital bed, semi-electric (head and foot adjustment), without side rails, without mattress. Accompanying this DME code, the purchaser must provide their physician’s prescription for an adjustable bed and paid receipt for the adjustable bed to Medicare or their insurance company. NOTE: Each customer should confirm coverage with medicare or their insurance company prior to purchasing their Leggett & Platt adjustable base.
