Are low glycemic index diets good for diabetics?

0

I am a type 1, insulin dependent diabetic and have been for almost 30 years. The glycemic index is a way of measuring the carbohydrates that are in foods. Diabetics must watch their carb intake because that it what makes their glucose rise. So in order to keep the glucose at a normal level, a diabetic would definetely benefit from knowing the glycemic index of foods.
