Are MGIB benefits different from Tuition Assistance available to Active Duty Air Force members?

0

Yes. Tuition Assistance is provided through the Air Force, whereas the MGIB program is provided though the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. With the Air Force Tuition Assistance program, the member incurs an Active Duty Service Commitment (ADSC). There is no ADSC associated with MGIB once you establish eligibility. You may even choose to combine Tuition Assistance and MGIB benefits. For more information regarding Air Force Tuition Assistance, contact any Air Force Base Education Office.
