Are mission churches simply small groups?
There are many similarities between mission churches and traditional small groups, but there are very specific differences. Small groups typically are Bible study centered or fellowship centered. They are usually considered a subset of the church. Mission churches are not subsets of the church but are considered “the” church, and they are far more holistic than Bible study and fellowship only.
