Are mopeds dangerous?
Moped themselves? Not at all. However, I won’t ride one anymore. There are too many people on the road now. Most don’t have a clue about common courtesy. That’s important, as it affects how they do everything, especially driving. The point is to share the road. People without courtesy don’t share. Where more people speed than ever before, riding a power and speed limited cycle becomes dangerous. Even the moped riders themselves don’t know that they must share the road. Too many times they are in the gutter, on the shoulder, everywhere but where they should be – in the travel lane. No, mopeds are not dangerous. The environment they operate in has become dangerous.
