Are most diabetics destined for retinopathy complications?
Not in my opinion. There will be some who neglect their health for too many years and neglect their diabetic control and suffer some consequences, but I know many, many diabetics that have struggled with diabetes for many years that do not have any serious eye problems. Of course, we all are different. I just refuse to label diabetics in any fashion.
