Are moulds (molds) a health concern?
Some moulds can trigger allergies or symptoms similar to allergies. High levels of mould (mold) spores in the air can cause more severe problems. Sinus congestion or sinus infections, sore throats, coughs, difficulty breathing, skin or eye irritations, respiratory problems. Health effects can vary from person to person. More likely to notice problems from mould (mold) are children under 6 years old, people with respiratory problems such as asthma, immune compromised people such as chemotherapy patients and organ transplant patients. Elderly people may also be more likely to suffer some problems.
