I agree. I think Americans are essentially decent people who are becoming ever more fascinated by violence. Most of the American TV I see here in the UK is about violence and every year the violence depicted in American film and TV gets more graphic and more intense. It can only lead to more and more of these tragedies, because coupled with a morbid fascination with firearms, America is fast heading towards being a bad place to live. No one in the UK has been unlawfully killed with a legally held firearm for ten years now, since the tragedies of Dunblane and Hungerford. We will never go back to how it was. Americans – you can do this too if you have the will.
