Are Olympians Adult Learners?
My niece, Rebekah Bradford, is an Olympian. She skates the 1000m for the U.S. Olympic Speedskating team today at 1 p.m. PST. At 26, is she an adult learner? Every single time she steps on the ice. Olympians, or all professional athletes for that matter, are constantly making adjustments in their performance based on feedback from their bodies, their tools (skates, in Bek’s case), their coaches (teachers), their fans. Yes, their fans. Bek gets both encouragement and criticism from people everywhere she turns. It comes with the territory. The good news is that Bek, and every one of us, gets to decide which feedback is helpful in winning the gold, and which stuff should get tossed aside. Be an Olympian in your quest for education. And root for Bek this afternoon! Comments (2)See All Posts
