Every fasting months of Ramadan, in the 60’s and 1970’s my grandmother was always took me to his houses in the Wain river jungle areas, only 25 km of Southeast of Balikpapan city, East Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesian provinces. In that times, we only use a canoe, we never use a speed boat on those times. We needs around 12 hours to 24 hours to canoes the river. In the summer times, we only needs 6 hours, but in the rainy season we needs more than 12 hours, because we needs to swing the wood stick of canoes more harder. In the side of the river, we usually saw hundreds of Orangutan and Pythons snakes circle in the any kind of tree behind. Some of the Apes just dance in the three with their kids and families. We as a kids, like other kids very happy to saw that beautiful apes and snakes. We as a Kalimantan ‘’Dayak Paser” natives never kill or bother the apes and snakes.
