Are personality traits hereditary?

Many personality traits can indeed have a genetic link, There is an area in Psychology called ‘Behavioural genetics’ That focuses on all sorts of research into this, and alot of research has shown many traits can exhibit from parent to children. For example phobias can in many cases exist in children and parents and current discussion beleive it could be two of the big five personality traits (Neuroticism and extroversion) that could be passed down help inherit phobias, However its not always clear in many studies if they are personality traits from genetic ‘Nature’ causes, or wether because of children and parents sharing the same home that they have come about through shared enviroment ‘Nuture approach’ I.e Phobias could be learned from children if they see parents afraid of a spider etc.
