Rad, Porcelain tiles are finer ceramic tile. They do not have to be polished porcelain. There are many looks available in ceramic and porcelain tile. Both porcelain and ceramic do not stain they are not porous porcelain tile accepts less what and sometimes is rated for outdoor use. Stone is porous and needs to be sealed. Do make sure to seal your grout though that will be porous. It’s easy to pick up a grout sealer kit. Do not get the sealer on your tile. Porcelain is a more impact resistant tile than regular ceramic. Both ceramic and porcelain would be suitable for a bathroom. Your choice should be determined on what you can find in the look you desire. You’ll find that the higher end, high style looks will be in the porcelain tile. So many choices. I love tile. Have fun with it.
