Are Power Lines dangerous to live near or under?
>David, even you have to admit that there is no conclusive evidence that >there is _no_ health hazard. Therefore it is wisest to be cautious. There is no conclusive evidence the other way either. I think David’s point would be that you must draw the line somewhere or you end up like Howard Hughes. A better appraoch might be the susceptibility angle. There has been research on people’s ‘magnetosusceptibility’ based on brain scans, I believe, and they found that magnotherapy worked better on people who registered as magnetosusceptible. The same might apply to power lines. Some people will react to them strongly while studies find no effect in the general population. The problem, as always, lies in identifying your weaknesses and defending yourself from them. If you are stuck with the power lines, there is anecdotal evidence of magnetic mattresses reducing the effects for children.
