Are Presa Canario / Cane Corsos classed as DANGEROUS DOGS?

It is best not to generalize here. Some of the other posters clearly dont have that way of thinking. I run a mastiff group with 109 members and we have dozens of Cane Corsos. They are sweet and loyal and beautiful dogs that need great owners who understand how to raise a large breed that can be powerful/strong. Being a powerful breed doesnt mean they will use it for hurting people. It means in most cases that you are silly if you dont start obedience training right away and that you have to be incredibly persistent about leading them in the right way. My opinion is that all dog owners should do this but mastiff owners are obligated in a way because if they dont, they have a dog that will pull them all around and can overpower them to chase a squirrel. If you have this problem with a westie, your shoulder stays in its socket – with a mastiff, you may need to see the physician that day!
