No way! As long as there are construction projects, QS’s will be needed. As for the marketing, I have actually never seen a straight up QS firm. I feel that rather than call yourself a QS, you should call yourself a construction estimator, or a cost engineer. Those types of jobs are usually found within the estimating department of a CM firm or General Contractor.
