Yes and No! Currently there are 27 states in the United States that have some form of regulation for home inspectors. The Florida Legislature is considering the regulation of home inspections; however, there is no indication of regulatory requirements is the near future. Is regulation of property inspectors of concern? Yes! A 40-hour class and few inspections do not make a professional inspector. Inspections Done Right principal inspectors are Certified General Contractors or Certified Building Contractors, or Certified Residential Contractors, all certified and regulated by the State of Florida, and other recognized states, with additional training in Property and Mold Inspection and Mold Remediation.
