You don't have to be gay to sell womens clothing. I've been in fashion retail for over 15 years and I actually like selling to women more than men. I have a beautiful wife (so I am not gay) and some of my best employees were straight males who also liked selling to women. It gave them confidence, style, and a casual coolness about them that outside of work they were 'ladies men' and these were guys who were at one point so shy that they would run away from the women.
