Are salted and dry roasted peanuts fattening?
DO NOT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO SAY PEANUTS ARE BAD FOR YOU. Peanuts (or any kind of nut) are actually good for you. Yes, it’s true that they are high in fat, but they are high in monounsaturated fat, which your body needs to metabolize certain vitamins like Vitamin E. Monounsaturated fat also helps raise your “good” cholesterol while at the same time lowering your “bad” cholesterol. So peanuts are a great part of a diet, but be warned: Too much of anything is bad for you and bad for your diet efforts, so be sure not to eat too many peanuts. How many is too many? Well, one serving of peanuts is about 30 peanuts. You can have up to three servings a day as long as it’s in line with your calorie and nutrient consumption (if you’re trying to lose weight, your nutrient consumption should be an even three-way split between protein, carbs and fat). As for salted vs. dry-roasted, if you have high blood pressure (like me) eat the unsalted dry-roasted nuts, but if your BP is fine you can eat salted
