Are solicitors required to carry a permit?
Non-profit (i.e. political canvassers, religious organizations) organizations are not required to obtain a permit, however, they are required to submit an Application for Exemption from Solicitor’s Permit (see Clyde Hill Municpal Code 5.16.020 Peddler’s Permit Exemptions). Solicitor’s selling products or services are required to obtain a permit and display it at request. The fee for the Solicitor’s Permit is $15 and non-refundable. A background check will be performed.
