We left SA for NZ almost 9 years ago. Our children were very young and now are very Kiwi and even support the All Blacks. (I’m still a Bok supporter). Recently we assisted an old acquaintance in relocating to NZ. He was one of those hypocrites that you referred to. (He is white too.) According to him the ANC government just couldn’t do anything wrong…. The previous dispensation was ALL bad and evil and never did a thing right… But when I ask why he’s leaving it’s the same for all us expats crime, long term job prospects, education and future employment for our kids, AIDS etc etc… I find the hypocrisy very frustrating ….
