Are SooBahk techniques more offensive or defensive?

My personal style is mainly defensive, but each individual can decide for him or herself whther to engage offensively or defensively. It depends on your state of mind, the circumstances of the engagement, your opponent, etc. You can think of various SooBahk techniques as Bahng Jeuk Gohng, or defense equals attack, or vice versa; Gohng Jeuk Bahng – attack equals defense. For example, while making a block, why not utilize it as an attack against an aggressive opponent? I believe the expression is, Killing Two Birds With One Stone. Of equal importance is the theory of Yin and Yang. Yin is soft, yang is hard. But one always resides within the other in a constant flow. Artists who master the principles of yin-yang are extremely effective. Best of luck in your progress.
