Students are allowed to wear eye glasses without bands in physical education classes. In Appendix A that goes home to parents, they are informed of the importance of wearing a strap and having shatter proof glass for some activities. e.g., gymnastics. The guidelines only stipulate that parents be informed of the importance of these safety measures regarding glasses. It is then the responsibility of the parent to follow up on these measures if they wish to do so.
