Are students required to use their AU Gmail accounts?
AU Gmail is now the official vehicle the University uses to communicate with students, including official notices and messages from Adelphi administration and staff, as well as notifications from C.L.A.S.S., Moodle, and Blackboard. AU Gmail also offers students many improvements over their old GroupWise webmail, including Google Apps features such as the Calendar (for easy integration of campus events) and Docs (to collaborate on group projects). It is up to the individual user to decide whether or not they would like to utilize the AU Gmail account directly or forward mail sent to the AU Gmail account to an outside account at their own risk.
