Are the dynamic WEP keys produced per STA?

0

The current implementation of the Express-Toolkit does assume that the WEP key is per STA. Anytime a virtual port is authenticated successfully using TLS and the virtual port has key generation enabled the Express-Toolkit will generate a new WEP key, send it to the STA in an EAPOL packet and it will also call back to your support functions to install the WEP key in the hardware for that virtual port. This can be a problem if your hardware implementation does not allow per-STA wep keys. If your hardware does not allow per STA wep keys then some modifications will need to be made to the Express-Toolkit source code so that it will share WEP keys between stations. These changes are not trivial and it is not truly secure to share WEP keys between stations.
