Are the Indian Hospitality Industry standards on par with the International hotels?

The Indian hospitality industry standards is no way near to the International one. There is a lot of room for improvement. They say I am one of the few General Managers who is successful in India. I dont know, they say that. I think the problem lies in International experience. The pricing strategy is always Follow the leader rather than be the leader. The food and beverage concepts are all copy cat concepts which are not sustainable. But the bright part is human resource is excellent. However the leadership lacks international standards. When a property promotes itself as an International five star hotel, the leadership never has first hand international experience. There is no way they can translate that into the same product that I am delivering. That is where the Leela scores.
