Are the Jews Responsible for Christs Death (Matthew 27:25)?
The Christian scriptures are the ONLY reliable source for any mention of Jesus. That is a remarkable fact, given that the Romans AND the Jews were enthusiastic historians who recorded EVERYTHING. Odd, then, that there is NO historical record of the amazing things Jesus is alleged to have done. I can guarantee you that if the curtain in the Holy of Holys HAD been torn when Jesus died, it would have caused a stir within the Jewish community that would still be reverberating to this day. For that matter, if dead people had come to life and walked around for a day, MANY historians would have mentioned the event. None–not one–did. Now–people are fond of pointing out that Josephus mentions Jesus. That’s not a reliable source, though, given that Josephus was heavily redacted by one of this students, and this portion was among the redactions.
