Yes, both kits are compatible, but not optimized for other Real Time PCR detection chemistries. The Mg++ concentration is slightly increased when compared to optimized chemistries for SYBR Green I. This may aid in the formation of primer-dimers. Both kits are compatible with Molecular Beacon assays; however, Mg++ may need to be added in order to maximize the beacon’s signal intensity.
