Are the lifejacket requirements different if I am competing in a Yachting Australia or ther organisation’s sanctioned event?
The lifejacket requirements for some officially sanctioned aquatic events may be to a higher standard than the requirements of the Marine Safety (General) Regulation 2009. We advise you to contact the event organiser to clarify its requirements. If you are competing in a Yachting Australia event refer to the current Yachting Australia Racing Rules of Sailing (commonly referred to as “The Blue Book”).
