Polish is a Slavic language and Lithuanian is a Baltic language… They aren´t so similar… But the Baltic languages are enough close to the Slavic. They have many similar words and grammar. The children if they communicate always…of cause they understand each other. Maybe they speak different languages but understand a bit the other language…
