Yes, they are made with a very strong Acetal plastic that locks together. Don’t mistake quick release for easily released. YOu have to squeeze both sides together at the same time to release the buckle so there is no chance of it accidentally releasing. You can opt to omit the buckles if you choose. The quick release straps attach to your camera the same way your current slr strap attaches, there is just a buckle halfway up the narrow nylon portion.
