The rights for productions of RENT are still restricted, so it'll depend on where you are, what kind of production you want to do (school, community theatre, professional production, charity benefit, etc.) whether you'll be able to get the rights to put it up at all. The cost, if you can get the rights, will also vary depending on the kind of production as well as the size of your theatre.
