Are the RPS plans merely about political correctness?
The representative public service plans are diversity plans, and diversity is about business. The Yukon workplace and workforce is changing. Demographic changes will affect us all in significant ways. Does this mean the Yukon government will only hire First Nation people? It means aboriginal and non-aboriginal people will be considered when the Yukon government hires. The Yukon government hires based on merit. Applicants are screened and hired on job-related qualifications and requirements.
