What you see on the websites is misleading. In many if not most states a sexual predator is one that has been arrested, not always convicted on all of their cases, for sex with a minor who was more than 4 years younger than him (mostly male) or for repeated cases with the same young victim(s), usually related in some way. In most cases the ones on the web sites knew their victims well, they were not stranger danger or unknown stalker cases. They tend not to have been serial sex criminals. While those attracted to children tend to attack children again they are not normally serial rapists, they are habitual pedophiles who obsesses on someone they know. Now to talk about the guys who commit hundreds of sexual assaults in their life times, the serial rapists. They tend to be very mobile and often only the stupid ones get caught more than once or twice and often in different areas of the country.
