Are there Air Force ROTC activities during the summer months ?

0

There are many voluntary activities during the summers you are not at Field Training. Here are just a few that could be available: Professional Development Program -You may volunteer to participate for a two to three week visit to an Air Force base to learn the challenges of being a junior officer. Cadet Training Assistant Program -A few highly motivated POC cadets can serve as assistants at Field Training. If not selected, you will be considered for an alternate Professional Development Program assignment. USAFA Soaring – Cadets who are selected for this program and meet the physical fitness requirements participate in the 12-day course and learn how to fly a glider and see what it might be like to be a pilot. USAFA Freefall Parachute Training – Cadets who are selected for this program and meet the physical fitness requirements participate in a 12-day course and learn free-fall parachuting techniques at the Air Force Academy.
