Are there alternative methods of mounting a 10HT?
Many. • One can make a mount using materials from Home Depot. The bottom of the projector has three threaded mounting holes in a triangle configuration that take a standard 5mm bolt. People have drilled holes in sheet metal, welded or screwed angle iron together, or built a sturdy mount from several pieces of plywood. Here’s a page (in Japanese) that shows a homebuilt mount solution. Even if you can’t read the text, the pictures are pretty clear. • You can mount it to the underside of a shelf instead of the ceiling. You would want to use a standard mount for this, most likely, but without an extension pipe. • You can place it upside down on its top on a high shelf, using a pillow to keep it from rocking. I’m using this, because of my odd mounting situation, and it works fairly well. The air ducts are on the bottom, so the only downside is that you can’t access the controls on the projector, some of which are not duplicated on the remote. • And, of course, you can just set it on a table
