Are there any 1st generation grass pokemon in pokemon diamond?
Strangely enough, there are no first generation Pokemon in Pokemon Diamond that you can get before the National Pokedex. When you get the National Pokedex, you are able to encounter new Pokemon in old areas and new areas will unlocked, such as new Pokemon in the Trophy Garden and new unlocked area like Stark Mountain, you are able to obtain the Pokeradar, which allows you to encounter Pokemon in areas you couldn’t encounter them in before, and last, you are able to migrate Pokemon from Pokemon GBA games like Ruby, Leafgreen, etc. over to Diamond version. In order to get the National Pokedex, you have to have seen every Pokemon in the Sinnoh Dex and beaten the Pokemon League.
