Are there any after-effects or associated risks from breast reduction surgery?
As with most operations, you will experience some post-operative swelling and soreness, but this doesn’t usually last long and you should not experience any other side-effects. Breast feeding is not usually possible after a breast reduction because the nipples are repositioned. Sensitivity in the nipples also tends to be reduced. There are small risks associated with all surgery, but we have successfully treated thousands of patients over the years and use fully qualified specialist surgeons, so risks are minimal.
