this is not ayurvedic but will not interfere with what you do. degenerative disc disease is a drying out process of the disc. avoid foods/drinks that dehydrate you at the cellular level sugar…limit the amount, don’t use sugar substitutes unless it is stevia caffeine…limit to equivalent of 2 cups coffee daily alcohol…

I’m not sure if it’s specifically ayurvedic, but a lot of practioners have told me they are fans of using papaya juice to repair disc damage (so that the discs can regenerate). I’m not sure how applicable this is to your question though.
