Are there any discount hotels or motels near Del Mar Ca.?

Del Mar is a pretty upscale beach community, so finding a discount hotel might be tough. There are certainly some nice high end hotels and resorts in the area (see the first two links). There are also some business-class hotels, like the DoubleTree in nearby Carmel Valley (third link). If you want cheaper, you might try going down to Mission Valley (Hotel Circle) area of San Diego - it's only a 20 minute drive away from Del Mar.  more
