Yes there are still old fashioned sweet shops around. But there isn’t a chain of shops that do them. I got to one were all the sweets are in glass jars. I love it! In York there are lodes and Castleton has an amazing shop with old fashioned sweets and homemade fudge and toffee!

Most towns now have ‘Old Fashioned’ sweet shops now, I don’t think they are multi national, just entrepreneurs finding a chink in the market place
