Are there any pet stores (or breeders/adoption centers) in Sacramento, California that sell ferrets?
You will not find a pet store or site in California that sells ferrets. You will also not find a breeder who ships ferrets to CA as they are very heavily fined and the rules ARE enforced. They aren’t legal to keep there without a wildlife permit. I know a Fish and Game Warden in CA, she spends a lot of her time seizing ferrets, Chinchillas, Hedgehogs, and other exotics that aren’t legal, and driving them to shelters in other states on her time because she can’t take having the ones she seized euthanized. Don’t risk it, if someone reports you, the ferret will be taken from you. People you know who had them in CA did so illegally, and likely drove them in from another state, which is also difficult as the Ag inspection stations on the borders check for them and will seize them and turn them over to the wardens.
