Are there any relocation sites being developed for landless households?

0

A. Yes. The Government has purchased five resettlement sites from private land owners at current market value. These 5 resettlement sites are in Sihanoukville, Battambang, Pursat, Banteay Mancheay and Phnom Penh. Four (4) RS have been completed in Poipet, Battambang, Siahnaoukville and Cheu Tom (Pursat Province). Relocation has started in 3 resettlement sites: Battambang, Sihanoukville and Pursat. Landless households will be provided with a plot of land in one of these sites at no cost. However, in order to obtain title to their land, they are required to live at the relocation sites for the following five consecutive years.
