Are there any restrictions on weapons and armor for different character types?
Like above there are not necessarily character types, the restrictions imbued upon characters is based on a character to character basis. Meaning if one character who uses magic is physically capable of firing a heavy ion blaster cannon, then he may fire a heavy ion blaster. Armor is a bit different but we tried to keep the same feel with armor: essentially if your character can pick it up and walk in it, you can wear it.
