Are there any rules for using bb/pellet gun in public places?
Normally, this kind of thing is decided on a State or City level. But I haven’t heard of any city/state that allows it. It also depends on where you will be using it, the looks of the gun, the people around you, and if the cops are called, the cop that confronts you. If you’re playing paintball or airsoft in woods that aren’t sanctioned paintball fields, you probably won’t run into any trouble. If you have nosy, angry, paranoid neighbors, they might call the cops on you. Most of the time, the cops don’t care at all (I’ve heard stories of the cop who showed up calling an off duty buddy and telling him to bring his paintball gun down). But by law, they can confiscate your paintball gun. So before you get into that situation, check with you neighbors in the area to make sure they don’t care.
