Are there any shoe companies that are animal cruelty free?
That like asking if I eat ice cream are the cows hurt when they are milked. Come on grow up and realize that the leather that the shoe companies is gotten from numerous sources’. They may say that they have control over it but they don’t Leather is a by product of meat production. And any company stating that they are cruelty free is not telling you that they waste 98% of the cow with their “humane injection” You can’t sell meat that is from a cow that was killed by lethal injection. I would rather wear shoes made of leather than waste a part of Gods creation. Of course there is the environmental part where it costs more energy to make a plastic shoe than a leather one as well as the small mom and pop operations that make leather shoes. If you want plastic go to China and see how cruel they are to their workers making shoes for the Eco crowd. Leather is better for your feet as well than all the faux plastic. You can smell the difference in just a week.
