It is very important that you do not wear into the exam area: - Hairspray - Jewelry - Eyeglasses - Hearing aid - Makeup - Any removable dental work Please inform the Technologist if you have: - A pacemaker - A metal plate, pin or other metallic implant - Cochlear implants/metallic ear implant - Aneurysm clips - An artificial heart valve - An intrauterine device (IUD) - If you are pregnant - If you were exposed to any metal fragments through a war wound, as a metal worker or through construction, house cleaning or painting work.
