Are there any themes that connect Life of Pi and Hamlet together?

The only thing I could think of would be the mental anguish that is experienced. Hamlet is depressed because he knows that his mother and uncle have murdered his father. Pi himself has to battle his delusions whilst trying to stay alive in the book. There are also elements of religious questioning, but Hamlets battle is over whether it would be moral for him to kill his uncle. There are elements that you could patch together, but Hamlet is a tragedy whereas the tragedy in the Life of Pi is just a part of the story, some say it is a fantasy adventure, but I suppose you could target the tragic element for a comparison.
