Are there model building code approvals for Sto Guard?

0

Yes. Sto Guard has been recognized by the SBCCI (Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc.) as an alternate moisture barrier for use behind EIFS and other claddings. ICBO (International Conference of Building Officials) has recognized Sto Guard behind Sto Classic EIFS as a water-resistive coating and as an EIFS with drainage. When combined with Sto EIFS incorporating vertical adhesive ribbons and weeping starter track, Sto Guard creates Sto EIFS NExT (New Exterior Technology), the latest innovative Wall Systems from Sto. Please see the Model Building Code section for more information.
